About

Nicholson Elementary is a welcoming, happy place to be. We are a community of life-long learners who connect, synergize, and positively influence each other and the world around us. We strive for success today and prepare for success tomorrow.

Introduction

Nicholson Elementary School is nestled near the upper reaches of the mighty Columbia River. We have one of the most beautiful settings anywhere for an elementary school, with stunning views of the Rocky and Purcell Mountains.  Nicholson is a great place to live and work!

Nicholson Elementary is located on the traditional territories travelled and tended by both the Shuswap and Ktunaxa people.

Our school opened in the fall of 1962 to serve the small rural community of Nicholson. The school provides Kindergarten to Grade 7 instruction to just under 100 students living in an area from south of Harrogate to the outskirts of the town of Golden, British Columbia.
